Ancient and medieval coins found in rural Norfolk have been declared to be treasure by a coroner at Norfolk Coroner's Court in Norwich.
One find, including 12 coins which date from between the second century BC to the first century AD, was found at Ingoldisthorpe, near King's Lynn. Eight of those Iron Age and Roman coins were found in 2014 and four others were found in 2015.
The other coin declared treasure was a silver medieval coin thought to date from between the years 1495 and 1510.
This coin, found in Old Buckenham, was modified by having its centre punched out and it was turned into a brooch of some sort.
The finds were declared treasure by area coroner Yvonne Blake at inquests held today (Wednesday, March 15).
The coins were found by people using metal detectors.
The 'treasure' status allows museums interested in acquiring the coins from their finders to negotiate with their finders to buy them.
