A well-known trustee of Fakenham Charities has stood down from her role after nearly 40 years of service.
Marion Pruden, known to many as nurse Pru, has been a trustee of Fakenham Charities since 1979 and was chairperson from 2008 until 2016.
During her time with the organisation she was instrumental in providing financial assistance to countless residents of Fakenham and Hempton.
Ms Pruden said: 'It has been a privilege to work with past and present members of the trust. Being able to help those in need through the generosity of the philanthropists who have left legacies, large and small, from as early as 1647 for this purpose, has been a pleasure.'
Nigel Westmancott, present chairman of trustees, said: 'Her knowledge of the charities' constitutions and sage advice when reviewing applications for help will be greatly missed.'
