Future stars of King's Lynn have been brushing up on Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You for The X Factor auditions in town.
Around 30 people queued outside the Vancouver Quarter on New Conduit Street to take part in the first round of auditions for the TV talent show.
One hopeful, Megan Waller, 18, from Fairstead, auditioned for the first time and is also celebrating her birthday.
She hoped to woo the judges with her take on Say Something by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera.
Miss Waller said: 'I've been singing all my life, my mum just sang and sang and got me into singing. People told me to go and sing but I haven't had the nerve to. I feel nervous but very happy.'
Twenty-three-year-old Joshua Kay said he will sing Niall Horan's Singing This Town, adding: 'It'll be great if I get through but I think you need to focus on where you are now.'
Mother and daughter, Linda and Lauren Parkin, travelled from Hunstanton to support each other in the auditions.
Linda Parkin, 58, decided on Baby Won't You Say You Love Me by jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald, with Lauren Parkin, 32, going for the all-time favourite audition ballad I Will Always Love You.
Linda Parkin said: 'My late mother always wanted me to sing. I was once part of a trio but I bottled it.
'If I could sing with a big band, that would be one off the bucket list.'
Lauren Parkin said she had taken influence from her mother, adding: 'I feel more comfortable and better with my mum here, I'll get a cuddle in the end.
'She used to sing to us at night and I decided what she would sing. If she got through that would be brilliant.
'I would be great to see the judges, I'd be happy to pass this audition.'
Michelle Thornby, 23, from King's Lynn, has been singing in pubs and karaoke and is confident she has the x factor.
Ms Thornby said: 'I love singing, I sing at the pubs near my house.
'If I get through I'd be very pleased with myself.'
The next series of the The X Factor will air in August this year. The producers of the show are touring up and down the country, in search of the next big star with the first stage of the audition process.
