A woman from Diss is getting ready for the biggest haircut of her life .
Mina Patel, who owns the Premier convenience store in Skelton Road, is planning to have her first haircut in 25 years on Tuesday, April 18.
Mrs Patel is having her long locks, which almost reach her ankles, lopped off to donate to the Little Princess Trust charity to make wigs for children who have lost theirs due to cancer treatment.
She is doing it in memory of her husband, Vijay Patel, who died a couple of years ago from cancer.
Mrs Patel is also fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support, and has so far almost doubled her £750 target, having raised £1,137.
She said: 'Our family has been deeply affected by this awful disease, and I wish to support these two amazing charities that do so much to help cancer patients and their families.' To donate to Mrs Patel's appeal, visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/MinaPatel-Haircut
