Police were called to the A47 in Norfolk this morning following reports of a large piece of debris in the road but they were unable to find anything.
Officers were called at 8.47am to the carriageway between Thickthorn roundabout and the junction for the Royal Norfolk Showground after a hubcap from a lorry was reported in the road.
Officers set up a rolling road block to find the hubcap but they were unable to trace it.
