A new destination has been added to the list for sun-seekers flying from Norwich Airport.
Thomson and First Choice announced today that from summer 2018 people will be able to jet to Heraklion on Crete. Thomson said it was part of a strategy to 'ensure customers across the UK can fly from their local airport and stay at the finest hotels in some of the most captivating destinations'.
Karen Switzer, director of aviation planning for TUI UK & Ireland, said: 'Adding more capacity from Norwich with the introduction of a new route to Heraklion, Crete demonstrates our commitment to both the airport and the local community in the area.'
Richard Pace, managing director of Norwich Airport, said: 'We are delighted to hear that Thomson and First Choice are increasing the number of flights, holidays and destinations available from Norwich Airport. This decision further demonstrates their commitment to the airport.'
