Police are urging people to be vigilant after a spate of burglaries in the Roydon area over the last two weeks.
A number of properties in the district have been targeted.
Most of the burglaries have taken place overnight, where properties have been left insecure.
In one case a laptop was stolen from a property in Newstead Walk after thieves got in through a door which had been left insecure.
Police have the following advice to improve the security around the home:
Keep windows and doors locked
Remove window keys and keep them in a safe place however everyone who lives in the property should know where keys are kept in case of an emergency.
Fit multi-locking systems to patio doors or install security bolts with removable keys to the top and bottom of doors.
Consider fitting a letter box cage
Never leave car or house keys in or near a door or window
Never leave spare keys in convenient hiding places such as under the doormat, burglars know all the usual hiding places.
PC Jim Squires said: 'we need communities to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity, if it looks suspicious then it probably is.'
'if you see something unusual at a neighbour's house, or at a nearby business premises call the Norfolk Constabulary on 101, if a crime is being committed 999 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.'
