Firefighters from Gorleston have dealt with another suspicious grass blaze – their second similar incident within the space of a few hours.
A crew from Gorleston fire station were called out at 5.04pm today (Saturday) to tackle an area of grass, which had been 'deliberately' set ablaze.
Firefighters attended an area of grass, which was ablaze on Suffolk Road in Gorleston.
A spokesman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said the crew 'used hand appliances with water from a hydrant to extinguish the fire, which had been deliberately ignited.'
Earlier today Gorleston firefighters were called out at 10.17am to tackle an area of grass was ablaze on New Road in Fritton, near Great Yarmouth. The blaze had been 'deliberately ignited.'
