A memorial has been held at Eaton Park in Norwich to remember those who have lost their lives in the workplace.
Every year April 28 is designated as Workers' Memorial Day which provides the opportunity to reflect on those who have been injured or have died while working.
To commemorate the day Norwich Norse Environmental, Norwich City Council, trade unions Unite and Unison held the planting of a Robar English Oak tree with the presentation of a plaque, speakers and a minute's silence in remembrance.
A congregation of 53 workers and representatives from across the region gathered to pay their respects.
Since 1989, trade unions across the world have held events around April 28, which is the anniversary of the Occupational Health and Safety Act in the USA. Workers' Memorial Day was officially recognised in the UK in 2010.
