For the first time in more than 40 years, modified and custom vehicles will be exhibiting at a popular rally.
Owners of modified and customised cars, bikes and trucks are now being sought to exhibit their bespoke vehicles at this year's Grand Henham Steam Rally.
The steam rally, which takes place on September 16-17 at Henham Park, near Southwold, will feature a brand new modified and custom vehicle class.
Chairman of the rally organising committee, Mike Powell-Evans, said: 'This is an exciting new category and a first in the rally's history.
'There are no age restrictions for vehicles in this class and so this is a great opportunity for those dedicated people who have painstakingly customised, modified or 'shed built' a vehicle to show it off to a new audience.'
As always, the steam rally offers a fantastic family day out with amazing displays in the Len Murray Arena – which this year includes Big Pete Ltd Monster Trucks.
In addition to modified vehicles, there will also be hundreds of vintage vehicles, working steam engines, the Ken Fox Wall of Death, a vintage fairground, heavy horses as well as avenues of trade stalls and crafts.
Having returned to its 'spiritual home' of Henham Park in September last year for the 42nd rally, organisers are now gearing up for its 43rd event.
As a charity, the rally raises thousands of pounds for numerous organisations, and has previously given money to Wangford and District Community Council, Southwold (Sole Bay) Lions Club and the Parochial Church Councils of Sotherton, Wangford cum Henham and Uggeshall.
Each year, the rally organisers also donate to additional charities and this year they have chosen Clinks Care Farm at Toft Monks, the Halesworth Community Nursing Care Fund (HCNCF) and the Sandra Chapman Centre at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston to benefit.
