This Sunday marks the 75th anniversary of the fire-bombing of St Nicholas Church in Great Yarmouth, which resulted in its virtual destruction.
Several fundraising events have been organised to commemorate the event that caused great sadness in the town.
On Saturday at 7.30pm, the Jonathan Wyatt Big Band are performing in the Great Yarmouth Minster. They capture the sound of the big band era. Entry is free. A bar is available.
Then on Sunday a civic commemorative service will be held at 11am in the Minster with a 1940's fair then held in the Market Place from 11am to 4pm.
Great Yarmouth Brass Band, a close harmony female trio, a Churchill impersonator and Dad's Army characters will appear. There will be displays of Second World War material and a 1949 Yarmouth blue bus. A special brew of Lacon's ale is on sale.
