A donation has been given to a bereavement service as part of a charitable scheme.
The King's Lynn branch of The Compassionate Friends has been given £5,000 after it was nominated by Mintlyn Crematorium.
The crematorium is a member of the Institute of Crematory and Crematorium Management and under its charity scheme metal from medical implants is recycled after cremation - with the consent of the deceased's family.
The institute asks its members to pick charities to be given a donation and staff at the crematorium chose the charity.
Jane Heatrick, from the charity, said: 'This huge amount of money will make such a difference to our local group. Until now we had survived on small donations and proceeds from a quiz we had organised.
'This donation will enable us to do so many things such as pay our meeting room rent, and publicise our group to a wider audience.'
