Soldiers from the Household Cavalry have swapped their ceremonial duties in London for Norfolk's wide open skies and majestic coastline.
They have been taking part in the regiment's annual training rides at Holkham beach, near Wells, on Monday and Tuesday and are due to return for the final day on Wednesday morning.
The Household Cavalry has been coming to Holkham for more than 25 years and their appearance is a highlight for many in Norfolk, with crowds coming from far and wide to enjoy the spectacle.
The beach rides enables riders and horses to carry out training manoeuvres which would not be possible in the capital.

The Household Cavalry's annual open day at Bodney Camp will not be going ahead this year. It is hoped the event will return next year.
