Two police officers paid a visit to a day care group in Dereham to build relationships with the children and raise awareness of the police.
The officers spent two hours with the children at Little Footsteps of Dereham on Wednesday, June 14, and described their role within the community and how children can contact them in an emergency.
At the end of the talk the children were given the chance to try on police hats and explore a police car, including getting to turn on the sirens.
Gemma Hewett, owner and manager of Little Footsteps, said: 'We arranged the visit and they've always been happy to support us. I think it's very important for the children to learn who can help and how they can contact the police. It's a really important part of their learning and development should they ever be in trouble and it's also great they know that the police are there to help us.'
