A Lowestoft theme park is appealing for the return of two of its mascots after they were stolen in broad daylight.
Two 4ft tall unique display soft toys of Woody Bear and Ronnie the Raccoon were stolen from the gift shop at Pleasurewood Hills at around 2.35pm yesterday.
The well-known and loved character pieces were made especially for the park's opening in 1983.
Kate Wood, of Pleasurewood Hills, said: 'We are absolutely distraught. Woody and Ronnie are an important part of the park heritage.
'Instead of pursuing the matter legally further however, we just want our characters back and would just ask for the safe return of the two characters back to the park and no further action will be taken.'
She added: 'They are of huge sentimental value to us and to the history of the park, which celebrates its 35th birthday next year.'
Anyone with information is asked to contact Mrs Wood directly on 01502 586000, dialing extension 206.
Police have been notified and a spokesman said they are currently making inquires but ask any members of the public with information to get in touch by calling 101 and quoting crime reference number CAD 257 of June 29.
