Concertgoers have expressed their anger after spending hours queueing for a Tom Jones concert at Holkham Hall on Sunday.
Angry ticketholders described the planning of the event as 'poorly organised' and 'confusing' and some have said they were stuck on gridlocked road for over three hours.
REVIEW: Tom Jones showed no signs of slowing down at Norfolk gigParking for Sunday's concert opened at 3.30pm for the concert that was scheduled to begin at 7.15pm. By around 5pm massive queues had developed on the roads surrounding the estate as people tried to locate the entrance.
Adding to the problems was a car accident on the B1105 near Fakenham at about 5.15pm. When police arrived on scene they advised people not attending the concert to avoid the area.
Large numbers of people have also questioned the decision to hold such a high profile concert on the same day as the Country Fair.
Catherine Eke, a resident in Dereham said: 'I was surprised it was as poorly organised as it was. The teens that looked like they were parking attendants didn't appear to be following any part of a plan, and were bickering with each other about where to put cars. It seemed a really poorly planned event and although Sir Tom was very good, as I'd expect, the frustration took away the shine of what should've been a very good evening.'
Another concertgoer, Linda Black, said: 'I think they are pinning blame on accident on the Wells-Fakenham road but we came in via Waterden. Lack of properly trained marshalls directing traffic then effectively parking on fields with no designated roadways definitely didn't help.'
Meanwhile, others took to Twitter to vent their frustrations.
'Great concert from Tom Jones but disgraceful, incompetent traffic management and rip-off drink & food prices,' said one unhappy customer.
Another added: 'The events team at Tom Jones were shocking - £50 a ticket and we spent four hours in the car. No marshalls no organisation @Holkham.'
People at Holkham Estate have said today that they are trying to get to the bottom of last night's traffic chaos.
Apologising to those who attended via Facebook, they said: 'We recognise that we experienced significant traffic issues yesterday.
'We would like to thank our visitors for their patience and understanding and Norfolk Police for their support.
'We are investigating the issues with the organisers of the Tom Jones concert and the Holkham Country Fair.
'We will publish a further statement shortly.'
