Police have issued a fresh reminder for people to 'lock up and lock away' their agricultural equipment and machinery as the busy farming season continues.
It follows incidents in North Norfolk, particularly in the Wells and Holt areas, where premises and properties have been broken into and farm equipment has been stolen.
Commander of North Norfolk and Broadland, superintendent Chris Harvey, said people should take security measures such as ensuring there are no gaps in perimeter fences and using good quality lighting.
'Remember to lock, secure and remove any keys from all buildings, outhouses and vehicles on leaving farms and sites overnight. Large vehicles can be used to block entry and exit points where possible and consider the use of CCTV systems,' he said.
If you witness suspicious activity call 101 or 999 if a crime is in progress. Incidents can be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
