The early morning runs, aching limbs and blisters will not stop Hayley Smith, who is determined to run the London Marathon.
Having known the heartache of miscarriage, after losing two babies in a year, the Old Catton mother found it hard to talk about it but was supported by The Miscarriage Association.
Now she is determined more than ever to raise more than £1,500 for the association.
Mrs Smith said: 'This is one of the toughest, yet most exhilarating challenges of my life. Knowing the money I raise will be used to support those who have suffered a miscarriage is enough to carry me round the 26.2 mile course.'
Mrs Smith will be doing street collections, cake sales and charity events to raise money
On September 2 there will be an end of summer charity fete at St Andrew's Centre, Thunder Lane, with a raffle, stalls, games and a tombola.
