A thief stole a tray of engagement rings from an independent south Norfolk jewellers.
The theft happened at The Jewellery Workshop on Market Place, Diss, just after 1.10pm on Saturday, September 9.
No-one was injured and the business remains open.
It is not known the value of the goods that were stolen.
A Norfolk Police spokesman said officers were called after a man fled the shop carrying 'a tray of numerous engagement rings'.
He left on a mountain bike in the direction of Mere Street, Diss.
The thief was described as in his mid 30s, white, six foot tall with a slight built and with mousy brown hair.
He was wearing a light blue shirt, dark blue jacket and dark trousers.
The shop manager or director would not comment.
