The East Anglian Air Ambulance was called to Thetford to help a man who had suffered a medical emergency.
The East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) were called to Elm Road at 10.11am yesterday to help a man in his late 50s.
Two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle attended.
At 10.35am the air ambulance landed in a field near Elm Road.
Doctor Ed Gold and critical care paramedic Gary Spitzer assisted the EEAST team on scene.
The pair accompanied the patient who was taken in a land ambulance to the West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds, for further treatment.
