Residents in Roydon, near Diss, have been given letters in a bid to make them more aware of 'an increase in criminal activity'.
South Norfolk Police have issued the letters asking people to be more vigilant concerning the criminal activity, which they believe is related to 'acquisitive crime and drugs'.
The initiative has been rolled out by Inspector Jason Selvarajah after recent thefts in the area.
The letter says: 'We are asking members of the local community to be our 'eyes and ears' whilst we carry out covert and overt methods of policing.'
It asks residents a serious of questions including:
• Have you seen anyone out and about at an unusual time of day?
• Does a particular address have lots of visitors at different times of the day?
Residents are encouraged to report anything they believe looks wrong and record descriptions of suspicious people and vehicle registrations.

To report a crime in progress call 999.
Information can be given anonymously.
