This year the rink will open on Friday, December 15 and run until Sunday, January 7, closing only on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
Sponsored by the Sleeping Beauty pantomime at the Norwich Theatre Royal, the rink is made from real ice which promises a smooth, traditional skating experience.
Opening hours will be from 10am to 9pm daily, with the last skate session starting at 8pm.
Ahead of the launch of this year's ice rink, head of events Debbie Burrell from Archant, said: 'The team have been planning the 2017 Ice Rink since the start of this year and we are delighted to be continuing it for a third year in Norwich this Christmas.
'The popular 50ft snowman 'Snowy Joey' will also be making a return for the little ones to enjoy.
'This year we are continuing our collaboration with Norwich Theatre Royal - for 2017 the pantomime is Sleeping Beauty. I would urge everyone to purchase tickets for both events before they sell out! Details can be found on our website.'
