Four generations of family travelled from around the globe to celebrate the 100th birthday of a woman from Winterton-on-Sea.
Joyce Woodhouse was surrounded by friends and family as she became a centenarian on Thursday, November 16th.
Family travelled from America, Thailand and around the UK to commemorate the milestone.
All of Mrs Woodhouse's five children; Peter, Gerald, Cynthia, Madeline and David attended.
Gerald Woodhouse said: 'It was a fantastic day because we all came together as a family.
'My mother was delighted to receive the card from the Queen and said it was the best birthday she has ever had.
'She is such an inspirational mother and did so well to get all five of us out of the village and into education.
'We all benefited from our mother and father pushing us to higher education because at the time it wasn't the done thing.
'My father died seven years ago – the day was a celebration of them both.'
