A charity which has been running for nearly 70 years to help Dereham hospital is holding it's bi-annual fete this week.

Friends of Dereham hospital was established in 1950 to raise funds to provide amenities and equipment for staff and patients.

Joanne Sibire has been a fundraiser since 2002, she said: 'In the 16 years I have been involved with the charity we have had a bi-annual fete which raises money for a vast array of projects. With the money we've raised, we have been able to contribute to a palliative assesment room and we've refurbished the day room and dining room on Foxley unit.' This years event is on June 30 from 2pm to 4pm at the Dereham hospital on Northgate, admission to the fete is free.

There will be classic cars and a dog agility show as well as live music. The charity are inviting more local stall holders to get involved.
