Residents in Fakenham are being urged to check their blood pressure to try and avoid strokes - the nation's fourth biggest killer.
The Stroke Association and Well, held a 'Know Your Blood Pressure' event last week at their pharmacy on Holt Road, offering free blood pressure tests and expert advice.
They are now encouraging the wider Fakenham community to continue to visit the store for advice on how to lower blood pressure.
Alexis Wieroniey from the Stroke Association, said: 'Over half of all strokes are caused by high blood pressure which often has no symptoms, we're urging as many Fakenham residents as possible to take a moment and have theirs checked at Well. It's painless and it could save your life.'
Laura Martinez, Pharmacist at Well Fakenham, said: 'I would encourage the local community to pop into our pharmacy for a free check – you don't even need an appointment.'
