Almost 60 fire fighters were called to the scene of a crop fire.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to Long Lane in Hoveton at 2.07pm yesterday.
A total of 58 firefighters in 13 engines attended the fire, as well as ambulance services.
Crews remained at the scene will into the evening, with 13 firefighters and four engines remaining at the scene until 5.30pm.
The crews managed to get the blaze under control by around 4pm, but officers remained to dampen down the field and continue to monitor the situation.
The nearby road, Long Lane, was closed by the Norfolk Police between 2.40pm and 2.50pm.
The fire took place in a field of standing crops.
The news comes after more than 50 fires were reported in one weekend last week, with 34 agricultural fires including crops and equipment being reported since June.
