A new dog daycare centre has opened its doors to busy owners in South Norfolk.
Registered veterinary nurse Celine Sanders, and her husband Ian noticed the increased demand for dog sitters and the lack of purpose-built centres for dog daycare in the county.
Mrs Sanders, a former animal care and vet nursing teacher at Easton College, opened Norfolk Dog's Day Inn in Rookery Business Park, Besthorpe in mid-June.
The 47-year-old said: 'I noted that there do not seem to be any relevant qualifications insisted upon for dog sitting or boarding.
'This is where I decided to use my veterinary nursing qualification as a reassurance to owners giving them peace of mind that their dog is in the best hands when he or she is with us.
'It's a family affair.'
The centre is offering daycare from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday, with half day options available.
Facilities include a 'free-roam fun zone' for the dogs to interact and play together, as well as a 'cosy corner' where older dogs can enjoy a more comfortable, calmer space.
There is also anap area for the puppies, where they can also continue to play together under the couple's supervision.
Mr and Mrs Sanders, from Kimberley near Wymondham, currently split time at the centre between them with Mrs Sanders still working at Chapelfield Veterinary Partnership part-time.
Dog's Day Inn, which also stocks Benyfit Natural raw dog food, will be running puppy socialisation classes, clicker training, and responsible ownership promotions in the form of seminars from local behaviourists.
Currently running are Puppy Playtime evenings on Fridays from 7.30pm at £2.50 per puppy, which must be fully vaccinated or have passed a titer test.
Owners are requested to bring records of this.
The centre is also running 'teenager sessions' on Thursday evenings starting for dogs up to 18 months old at 7.30pm.
All dogs are temperament tested prior to being accepted to use the centre to ensure it is right for them and their owners. The business address is: Unit 31, Rookery Business Park, Silver Street, Besthorpe NR17 2LD.
