A cat who had been fending for herself is now looking for a loving home.
Ant, who is thought to be around six years old, was brought into the RSPCA East Norfolk Branch as a stray.
A spokesperson for the RSPCA said: 'We were called about Ant as she was seen struggling to walk and they thought she may have been run over. Once caught she was taken to the vets and it was found that her nails had grown round into her pads, making them bleed and so causing her pain and difficulty walking.'
These health issues were quickly treated and have cleared up in the care of the RSPCA.
Ant is described as a friendly cat who would do best in an adult home where she'll get the chance for some peace and quiet.
If you think you could be the owner Ant is looking for then please call the RSPCA rehoming line on 07867 972870.
Sadly there are many other sick and injured animals that have come into the centre this week and all of the spaces are full again so the RSPCA hope to find homes this week for some of the animals who are ready to leave.
Kentish is a ginger and white cat who has been with the RSPCA for just over 8 weeks now.
He came into their care collapsed but has made a fantastic recovery and is doing well. He is thought to be only around seven years old but does have some kidney issues so is on a special diet for this.
Kristy is another long-termer who has now been with the RSPCA for 12 weeks. She is described as 'a bit of a madam who will rub all around your legs purring away but give you a smack if you touch her', so they hope to find her a kind understanding owner who is happy to offer her a safe home but not expect too much from her.
Jayne and Michelle are two bonded female rabbits. They are looking for a large spacious home together where they will get the care and attention they need.
Jackson is an affectionate friendly young male cat. He has FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) but is otherwise fit and well. He will need an indoor home or one where there is an enclosed garden to keep him safe.
Cheerio the 'cheeky' kitten is around 10 weeks old and ready for a home now. She is confident and friendly and the RSPCA say she will need lots of toys to keep her busy.
Leia the cat is described as a real character. The RSPCA say she is always happily chatting and chirping away. She will be ready for a new home in around two weeks after she has been spayed.
Poptart is only around a year old. She's another very friendly cat who is looking forward to finding her own home.
All of the RSPCA's cats, dogs and rabbits are vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with flea and worming treatments. There is a small adoption fee of £55 for domestic cats and kittens, if the kitten is too young to be neutered a full cost neutering voucher is supplied.
If you would like more information or to see other animals available for adoption then please visit the rescue centre's website at www.rspcaeastnorfolk.co.uk or call their rehoming line on 07867 972870.
