A new bell-ringing team at St Michael's Church in Oulton will play its part in an international commemoration.
With Battle's Over on November 11 commemorating 100 years since the end of the First World War, events will take place throughout the world.
St Michael's bell ringers will hold a Ringing out for Peace event at the church in Church Lane from 2pm to 4pm on November 11, with the public being invited to come along to have a go at bell ringing. All participants will receive a special Battle's Over certificate of having taken part in the 100th Armistice Commemoration.
Donations will be accepted, which will be divided between the Royal British Legion and the church bell-rope fund. At 7.05pm on November 11 the bell ringers will be taking part in the national Ringing out for Peace.
Bell-ringer Robin Keightley said: 'We are a new bell-ringing team under the leadership of experienced ringers. Since starting last winter, it has been our ultimate aim to learn to ring in order to take part on this historic occasion.
'We are extremely proud to be playing a small part in this international event to commemorate the centenary of the end of the Great War, and to recognise the contribution and sacrifice made by the men and women from our own community of Oulton.'
