A JustGiving crowdfunding page was set up to help a Weybourne woman whose front window was destroyed when a car ploughed through the house before Christmas.
Pictures taken by tenant Phoebe Vincent show extensive damage to the house, with a red Volkswagen hatchback almost completely inside the living room after smashing through the brick wall.
Miss Vincent was fortunately out with her dog when the accident happened at around 9.20pm on December 17.
Writing on her JustGiving page, Miss Vincent, who is an event planner, said: 'The car smashed through the front window of my house at high speed. All my lounge furniture and many of my personal possessions have been destroyed.
'The enormity of the task ahead of me and the sheer amount of work and upheaval involved is overwhelming. As a private tenant, I have very few rights and the insurance largely covers the landlord's costs, not mine.
'And so, here I am, looking for a new home and stuck for cash. I would never normally ask for financial help - I am too proud and too shy - but so many people have been so kind and have asked what they can do to help.
'If you are able to spare just a few pounds, it would help me gather some money together to get my remaining furniture and belongings moved somewhere safe and dry and to cover the application fees and deposit to rent a new property at such short notice.'
Miss Vincent plans to make a donation to the charity Shelter with any money raised above what she needs.
Donors left messages of support on the JustGiving page. One wrote: 'Such an awful thing to happen, especially at Christmas!'
Norfolk police said the driver of the car failed a roadside breath test and had been driving with a provisional licence.
The passenger, who would have been responsible for supervising the driver, was also found to be over the limit.
The car driver, who was arrested for drink-driving and driving without a licence, was released under police investigation. The female passenger was summoned to court.
