Cromer's herd of goats are returning today to the Melbourne Slopes overlooking the sea.
North Norfolk District Council will be unleashing the Bagot billies - Britain's oldest breed of goat - on the town's cliff tops at lunchtime, as part of a habitat management project to help with the control of scrubland.
Council spokesman Adam Aiken said: 'I've just heard that the goats are heading back to Cromer. It was a late call, and decided only last night.'
