Revised plans to build much-needed new affordable homes as part of a mixed development at a north Norfolk village have been submitted.

The application for land off Rectory Road in Edgefield, near Holt includes amendments in design, external appearance, layout and landscaping,

Broadland Development Services for Broadland Housing Group, which is developing the adjacent site, has lodged the proposals with North Norfolk District Council (NNDC).

It comes just weeks after NNDC's cabinet agreed to dispose of the land for a housing scheme, subject to planning permission.

The council's ownership of the land is the legacy of the purchase of a much larger parcel of land. It relates to 3.2 acres of land, part of which has been used for a children's play area.

Up to 22 new homes could be built on the site, including 11 affordable.

The application may be inspected during office hours at the council offices in Cromer.
