A singer who was banned from performing at several north Norfolk car boot sales has written a song about the experience.
Ali Batts, 59, who sings as Ali Bee, cannot sing anymore at three car boot sites.
It followed complaints from one woman who said that she wanted a little peace and quiet at the event.
Miss Batts, who lives with her partner Andy Marshall in Surrey Street, Cromer, can still play at Mundesley and Sal's car boot at East Runton.
She said she was angry about the ban, but added: 'it's not going to stop me singing at the car boot sales where I can still play. It has made me more determined to carry on.'
Miss Batts sings mostly Irish and '60s/'70s folk songs and returned to performing after a break.
She said: 'I wrote a song about being banned called Carbooting Singing.'
Here's a sample of the lyrics:
'So these days I'm singing at just two car boots
And the feedback from them has been brilliant
I've ignored the haters, or tried to at least
Good job I'm so bloomin' resilient
The wonderful Sal has said I'm free to sing
So on Tuesdays at Runton I'll let my voice ring
And on Wednesdays at Mundesley I'll do my thing
Because no one will stop me from singing.'
