Initial plans have been drawn up to build a 'gated community' made up of 62 retirement apartments in Sheringham.
Richard Davies of Sutherland Homes has applied to North Norfolk District Council for permission to build on land at the back of Sheringham House in Cremer's Drift.
Designs for the scheme, called Sheringham Court Gardens, show three buildings with seven one-bedroom apartments and four with 12 singe-bedrooms, as well as a separate dayroom, garages and parking spaces. There would also be several ponds, and trees which are already on place on the site would be kept.
The site would be accessed via an extension of Willow Grove on the site's south side, and there would be a set of gates for visitors to pass through.
Anyone wanting to make representations about the application can do so via the council's website at www.northnorfolk.org or by emailing planning@north-norfolk.gov.uk.
