Organised by teaching assistants Jo Goodliffe and Karen Wright, with ingredients provided by the school, the sessions aim to encourage pupils, parents and grandparents to enjoy preparing and eating a meal together.
Ms Goodliffe has produced a recipe book featuring family favourites ranging from pork and apple burgers to chicken and broccoli pasta bake, with children taking part also set tasks including setting tables and serving.

Mum of three Hannah Bamford, who cooked lunch with daughter Kayley, 8, said: 'It is really nice to be able to spend some one-on-one time with Kayley, which it isn't always easy to do at home, and the best bit is eating the food afterwards.'
