About 75 members of a family gathered on a Norfolk beach as a former headteacher's ashes were scattered at sea.
Dan Corbett, who died last November aged 82, was a founding member of Sea Palling lifeboat station.
And his ashes were scattered, as per his final wishes, by the lifeboat crew, at 11am on Sunday, July 14.
Sea Palling lifeboat coxswain Shaun Partridge said: "About 75 members of the family and many people from the village attended. We drove a boat out with four crew members and scattered the ashes about a third of a mile out at sea. We launched a white PowerFlare to signify his passing. It was a special occasion for us as he was a founder member of the lifeboat station."
Mr Corbett was headmaster of Stalham Primary School for about 25 years and was very active in the community, being both a parish and district councillor.
