Stunning aerial images and video taken by Sheringham photographer and lifeboat helmsman Chris Taylor show the depth of excavation work being carried out by engineers working to repair the sinkhole which opened up in the centre of the town a month ago.
Walking past the site, Mr Taylor, a registered CAA pilot since 2015, wondered was going on behind the barriers surrounding the hole and headed down to the seafront at 7am to fly his drone.
"I think it's great the way townspeople and local businesses have overcome the sinkhole issues and road closures," Mr Taylor said. "I wanted to promote the fact that they are operating as close to normal as possible at this difficult time."
Engineers, who have dug to a depth of almost eight metres beneath the hole, have almost reached a suspected damaged sewage pipe.
Once this is repaired, it is hoped that work can be completed and the road re-opened.
"Hopefully this saga will soon be behind us and Sheringham can look forward to another amazing summer season, welcoming people from all over the world to our little gem in the heart of the north Norfolk coast," Mr Taylor said.
