The cliff fall happened at Trimingham, near Mundesley, overnight on Sunday, sending tonnes of sand and silt plummeting onto the beach and sea from the Trimingham House Caravan Park above.

HM Coastguard has asked people to steer clear of the area, and in particular warned anyone against going onto the sludge left on the beach, which is like quicksand and could easily consume anyone attempting to cross it.

The video and photos showing the collapse were taken by BlueSky UAV Specialists on January 7 from a drone.

The photos showing how the cliffs looked earlier last year were taken by Norwich resident John Fielding from a microlight aircraft.

Although no-one was hurt in the incident, a woman who lives in one of the caravans closest to the cliffs was evacuated and is now staying with relatives.
