A Norfolk rotary club has welcomed an international artist for the launch event of its 25th annual visual arts festival.

The Swaffham Rotary Club hosted a talk and display with installation artist Rebecca Louise Law at the West Acre Theatre on Saturday, October 7, organised by Cathy Warnock which kicked off the town's visual arts festival.

Festival events over the next month include a talk and display with artist Jane Hodgson at the George Hotel in Swaffham on Saturday, October 20, and the annual art exhibition at the Swaffham Assembly Rooms from Friday, October 26, to Sunday, October 28.

Vice president of Swaffham Rotary, Stephen Ward, said: 'Cathy did an outstanding job and a produced a very successful evening.

'In front of a full house, it was a most lively and interesting evening with a world renown artist.'
