The Fakenham Christmas lights made a spectacular return this year thanks to the hard work of a local woman.
Lisa Mallett took over the reigns of the event this year which saw 1,000 people visiting the town’s Christmas Tree Festival and watching the light switch on.
Ms Mallett said: “It was lovely, a really good event. The footfall was high so the traders were happy, and because the Christmas Tree event was on at the same time people could have a look around that and see what was going on, and then watch the lights switch on.” As well as running a pub, Ms Mallett also runs Sweets’n’Things in Fakenham.
“I made an announcement at about 3pm that Santa was in his grotto at the back of my shop, and suddenly there was a two hour queue to meet him! It was a really great event, and we’d love to repear the success next year.”
