Saluting Srbeny
Prior to his goal at Goodison Park on Saturday, Dennis Srbeny had played only 27 minutes of Premier League football.
When the ball hit the back of the net on Merseyside, it marked a rise which has seen him emerge from relative obscurity in Germany to score in the top-flight. Considering his role at the club has consisted of a number of substitute appearances, this was quite the moment for the striker.
As he saluted the travelling contingent of City supporters packed away in the lower tier of the Bullens Road Stand, there was somewhat of a relief as the three points seemed closer to being guaranteed.
With Josip Drmic injured until January, Srbeny could be offered a run as Teemu Pukki's understudy.
The Mayor of Merseyside
As he stood on the balcony of City Hall celebrating the Canaries title triumph, wearing the Lord Mayor's hat, an intoxicated Kenny McLean declared himself as the 'Mayor of Norwich'.
After his performance on Saturday, some supporters may claim he has grabbed another part of the country to extend his dynasty after a dominant display as an attacking midfielder.
Tasked with providing support to Teemu Pukki, McLean battled and looked revitalised in a City squad that applied itself to the task wonderfully against the Toffees.
McLean won 12 aerial duels on Saturday, seven more than any other player on the pitch. His contribution in creating the opening goal was vital to the construction of the chance. He may have provided an answer to City's trouble in that position.
What a difference a win makes!
Prior to the international break, talk was geared more towards how City could respond to a disheartening defeat to Watford. Two weeks later and it appears some wind may have returned to sails in NR1.
In the Premier League, the impact of every result feels seismic. Suddenly, the pictures are being painted with more colour ahead of a game against Arsenal which many will consider winnable given the situation Unai Emery is contending with at present.
Glance beyond that fixture and you discover a potential crunch match against Southampton, where City will be looking to build upon their newfound formula.
Whether that can translate to a positive result against the Gunners on Sunday remains to be seen.
