Norwich City’s Premier League season is now on hold until at least April 4 after confirmation the English top flight has been suspended due to the spread of coronavirus.
The Premier League announced all fixtures until the weekend of April 4 will be put on hold at an emergency meeting on Friday morning, as the football authorities react to the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
The Football League has followed suit and the suspension also covers the FA Cup.
Norwich City were scheduled to face Southampton in the Premier League at Carrow Road on Saturday and an FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United the following weekend prior to the international break.
Those games will not now take place as the football authorities in England fall into line with all the other major European football leagues who have already suspended games.
