Timi Odusina, released by Norwich City in May, has rejoined Hartlepool United on a full-time basis.
The 20-year-old central defender had a successful spell with the National League side last season, having joined in January.
Odusina had been with City since he was 14 and became a pro on 2016, but never played a senior game for the Canaries.
Hartlepool boss Dave Challinor, who also worked with Odusina at AFC Fylde in 2018-19, said: “Timi is a great signing for us as he is such a useful player to have in the squad.
“As we saw last season he’s a quick lad which definitely comes in useful. I know the fans really warmed to him as well so I’m happy to get him back.”
