Nearly 100 people were in attendance on Tuesday, November 14, at the Halesworth in Bloom Awards, which took place at The Cut Arts Centre.

The ceremony featured an informative talk from the new owners of Woottens Nursery in Wenhaston, before the numerous gongs were awarded.

Best in category winners took home beautiful glass bowl trophies, all donated and engraved by Halesworth’s own glass engraver, Lesley Pyke.

The final award of the evening was the Star of Stars, which acknowledged Tamsyn Imison’s hugely significant contribution to Halesworth in Bloom.

Mrs Imison died in September having spent the last 12 years using her gardening prowess and organisational skills to transform the town’s streets, gardens and park.

Stephanie Hammond accepted the award on behalf of Mrs Imison’s husband Michael, who could not be present.
