The final of the Great Yarmouth Schools’ Debate Competition will pit an academy from the town against one from Caister.
Pupils from Great Yarmouth Charter Academy have won their way through to the final of the debating competition.
Year 9 pupils Georgia Harvey, Kenny Pitts, and Lauren Revell took on tough competition from Year 10 debaters from Ormiston Venture Academy.
The teams debated transgender uniform policies and the private lives of politicians in front of a judging team of local politicians.
The Charter team will now take part in the competition’s final against Caister Academy, to be held at Great Yarmouth Town Hall in March.
A spokesman for the Charter academy said: “Georgia, Kenny and Lauren Revell presented their arguments absolutely fantastically and were a credit to the academy.
“The judges were very impressed with our pupils.”
