A beach litter pick has been organised in Caister after rubbish and debris washed up along the village’s shoreline in the past few weeks.
The litter pick, called May Beach Clean, is on Saturday, May 12.
People are being asked to meet at Caister Lifeboat Station from 10am to take part in the event, which was set up by Caister Parish councillor Kevin Wood following a Facebook appeal.
The motto for the event is “This is our village, this is our beach and we care about Caister.”
Mr Wood said: “There has been a lot of rubbish and debris washed up along our shoreline in the past few weeks, from general waste to plastic, some large and some small. So I asked people on Caister Parish Council’s Facebook page if they would help with a litter pick.
“The response has been amazing with many people and some organisations offering to help.”
