A free exhibition revealing how entertainment has shaped Great Yarmouth and its impact on the town will be held at the town’s library.
Great Yarmouth Library will host the exhibition, called Youth and Age, between July 31 and August 4.
It has been arranged by the group Saving Time CIC, which was set up by Richard Harrison and works to train young people on oral history techniques.
The Youth and Age exhibition was set up with students from East Norfolk Sixth Form College, who undertook interviews with local people to find their thoughts on entertainment.
Richard Harrison said: “‘I was concerned that the memories of local people just weren’t being recorded, so this is part of an on-going project to change that. I’m grateful to the Heritage Lottery Fund for believing in my idea.”
If you would like to share your memories of entertainment in Great Yarmouth, Richard can be contacted on (01603) 470227 or savingtimecic@gmail.com
