Disruption to train services has ended after a van left abandoned on railway tracks was removed.
British Transport Police for East Anglia were called to the Grove Road level crossing in Beccles this morning, alongside Suffolk Police and Network Rail, following reports that a vehicle has been driven onto the tracks.
Greater Anglia notified passengers of disruption to trains until around midday, with services unable to run between Halesworth and Beccles. A rail replacement service was in operation until Network Rail removed the vehicle and assessed whether there was any damage to the line.
The train operator has since tweeted that disruption has come to an end and all lines are now open.
British Transport Police said earlier that an investigation was under way and appealed for witnesses to get in touch with any information.
