More than 14,000 illegal cigarettes were seized from one shop in a Norfolk town.
The counterfeit cigarettes were discovered in a shop in Thetford on Tuesday (April 30) in a joint operation by Norfolk police, Trading Standards and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
Breckland police posted a photo on Twitter which shows boxes and bags-full of the seized items filling the boot of a car.
A Norfolk County Council spokesman said Trading Standards, along with other agencies, had visited three shops in Thetford although could not reveal the location.
She added: “One had no illegal tobacco, another had a small quantity and the third shop had the larger quantity. This was seized by HMRC and enquiries are ongoing.”
You can report illegal tobacco sales to 03454 040506 or 101.
