An annual duck race experienced a new kind of stream this year - being held online for the first time in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Bungay Duck Race, which raises money for the Falcon Meadow Community Trust, was held on the River Waveney on Monday morning, with 527 ducks taking part.
Not wanting to cancel the event, which has been held every summer since 2015, organiser Laura Myatt took the race behind closed doors, with people buying tickets online for their ducks to take part.
She said: “The duck race went off with great success.
“We ended up having winners from all over the UK as the event caught people’s imagination, with support coming from far and wide.

“We even had people buying tickets in America and Australia.”
Prizes were donated from Giddens and Thompson, Bungay Co-Op, Fen Farm Diary, Transam Trucking, Gold Star Fencing and Bungay Film Club.
